OTHER COMMITMENTS OF THE CHARITY
It is extremely important to me to let other young people know that they too can make a difference in their community as long as they feel passionate about whatever it may be and as long as they never give up.  I have been fortunate to have been given the opportunity to speak to young people in the following venues:
-- Speaking at various elementary and high schools
--Harbourfront Centre during their Brave Young Word Session in October 2007
--The Glen Angus Country Club as a guest speaker for the Hockey for the Homeless charity banquet dinner
--The Career Model Days in Mississauga in October 2007
--As part of a documentary by SkyWorks about homelessness around the world with the UN ambassador for the homeless, Miloon Kothari.
--Women Who Rock the World conference on March 27, 2008.
--Inspiring Action.  A Conference on Social Justice at George Brown College on May 1st, 2008
--The Holiday Inn for Rotarian Event:  “Building Connections; Youth and Rotary” on October 18, 2008

--Various High School and elementary schools throughout 2009
--March 25th, 2010....Spoke for the Political Action Committee of Elementary Teachers of Toronto who were screening two films on poverty at the National Film Board in Toronto. I spoke between the screenings of the two films.
--May 2nd, 2010.....Spoke for Camp Enterprise at Lady Eaton College at Trent University in Peterborough for the Rotary Club of Peterborough. This was in front of about 100 grade 11 students who were there to gain information on how to start a business.
--May 11th, 2010.....Spoke at the Louise Russo W.A.V.E Empowering Youth Day.  This was in front of hundreds of students.  I was invited as I was a winner last year and to share my story about my charity.
--May 17th, 2010....Spoke at a church in Mississauga for the Rotary Club of Mississauga.  I spoke in front of a small group of adults ranging in age mid 20s to 60s.
